CERTIFIED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN/NURSE

As an essential, integral part of the health care team, applicants should be compassionate, motivated, versatile and have (ideally) a least 2 years experience in small animal/exotic/avian practice. They should be confident of their skills as well as themselves. Responsibilities include all those requisite to a full-service veterinary practice: a competent working knowledge of preventive care and medical conditions, confidence and proficiency in assistance with anesthetic, surgical and office procedures, the ability to perform laboratory testing and to administer prescribed treatments and nursing care. Fear Free certification, AVImark software and cross-training (client reception, phone skills) a HUGE plus but not a deal breaker.

VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST

As an ambassador to the practice and first point of contact for clients and patients, applicants should be compassionate, possess exceptional people skills and have (ideally) at least 1 year experience in veterinary practice or a closely related field. Computer proficiency and literacy a must. Responsibilities include all those requisite to a medical office as well as those unique to the veterinary profession: greeting clients/patients, scheduling appointments, answering phones, operating business machines, maintaining files as well as warm, friendly, inviting waiting and reception areas. Fear Free certification, AVImark software and cross-training (assisting directly with patient care and treatment) a HUGE plus but not a deal breaker.
